This is Halloween

We had a great Halloween this year... we went trick or treating at my mom's school which was funny. Caden loved it because he would pick something and then eat it right away... he must have gone through 20 different candies one after the other.
Mark said he was going to be in charge of costumes this year and planned on making us all giant pumpkin costumes but when reality hit and he realized he already had a spiderman costume he went a different route. We were the spider family instead; Mark as the giant web, me as the spiderman, and Caden as the spider. We spiked Caden's hair all over and it was funny how different he looked but he loved it! Halloween night we had a little Halloween party at my parents and Caden and his best buddy, Savannah went around to a couple of houses with grandma and grandpa.
Andy and Jess also threw a fun Halloween party that we got to spend a little time at and and loved it! Thanks again guys!

Caden is 1

Well it was our little mans big day on Monday! It was funny from the moment he woke up we were so excited saying Happy Birthday to him all day. He of course had no idea what was going on. We had a fun little party for him at the end of the day. I have a lot of people to thank for making it so great! Also a big thanks for everyone who came and endured the cold. We love all of our wonderful family and friends! First would be to Adrienne who made him his cute #1 shirt! I actually ended up washing it twice that day because he found the strawberries in the fridge and I got him a courtesy cone at Artic Circle both ending in a big mess. So thanks again for the perfect shirt for the occasion!
Next would be to one of my best friends Chelsey! She helped make all the invites and all the paper products basically. She also taught me a thing or two about baking cupcakes! She is amazing, I'm going to miss her being in Utah to help me with parties. Thanks girl!

This is the smash cake which was completely free!!! My sister in law informed me that Albertsons does a free one year old birthday cake. How can you pass that up? Plus they make them anyway you want. It is the way to go...
So this is how he decided to go at it, face first. We put it in front of him and he just went at it with his mouth. No hands at first just straight mouth! He finally did start using his hands then thought it would be funny to feed the other kids.

We love our little man so much! I can't believe it has been one year since we brought this sweet boy into the world. I can't imagine my life without him. He truly brings us so much happiness! I remember cuddling him while he slept when he was a newborn and now we play and laugh. He is so funny. He is our little climber. He loves to kick the ball. He laughs when people are being goofy. Sometimes the things I do I think, "I hope no one saw that." He loves all his cousins and friends gets so excited when he sees them. He sits at the door when Mark leaves for work in the morning and waves bye bye to him. He laughs every time I hide and he comes to find me. He always points to his books when he wakes from his nap and we read one. I LOVE everything about him! Happy Birthday Bu Ba!

Before....
After....
Can you believe what a haircut does to this boy? I can't tell you what it even does for me, like a breath of fresh air or something. His hair grows like a weed and thanks to Cookie Cutter they find a way of making it perfect. Like I said I love them and how do you not love this little guy, mostly with a haircut!
Just wait, in a month I will be doing this same post again...

Summer time fun!

I can't believe it has been so long since I last posted. I am so sorry, we are still here and I hope you haven't given up on us. We have had a wonderful summer! I can not believe it has come and gone. Caden is already ready for a new haircut so that just goes to show how long it has been. Here are some of my favorite summer time pics... My sister in law took my family's pictures in the park this summer, she always does such a good job. Caden's big birthday is coming up so check back soon for the update!

1st haircut

Caden has his 1st haircut last week! It was pretty funny how long it was starting to get and Mark thought he could just trim it up but that resulted in a chunk missing out of the back. Finally I decided to take him to Cookie Cutters and let a them see if they can make him stay still. It was a success. Caden did so good just sitting there hanging out. He got to pick out a movie and play with some toys, then he got a balloon and a sucker when it was all done! His haircut really turned him into a little man, see what you think....This is the chair he decided to sit in for the haircut! The before picture, long and shaggy!

The finished Look!

The Update

Well the disposable disappointed, what a shock huh? After I got those done I realized how far we have come with cameras in the last ten years. Remember when all you used were those disposable? Now pictures are so clear with perfect lighting and detail. Anyways... enough about that on to the real reason I was posting. Here are the events of the last month minus a few pictures because they never turned out... This should have all been separate posts so sorry for the length.
My sister in law and I planned a surprise get away for the boys to St. George over Memorial Day weekend. To our surprise it all ended up working out pretty much as planned and the secret never slipped before the big day. It was so nice and fun to be with them. . . The boys went golfing and we went to the pool and ended the night bowling...
Did I mention we left the little one home for the first time? He got to hang out with lots of fun people though so I don't think he really noticed we were gone. I sure thought about him a lot though! I had to opportunity to be involved in the Temple Celebration! It was a lot of work and a lot of time but when show time came it was amazing! What an amazing thing to be apart of!
We went to the pool quiet a bit, when the weather was nice. This weather is killing me, nothing worse then being cooped up in the house all day long! We had our dance recital at the end of May! None of the pictures I took turned out so I've got nothing to show expect how proud I was of my little girls! They were so excited and did such a good job! I love every second of my job!
Then last but not least we had a little camp fire up American Fork canyon with my family! Nothing better then that, expect for the fact that everything you bring smells like campfire the next day! Caden liked it too because he got to eat watermelon the whole time! Little did mom know that it stains clothes! Me and my sister Krit... Who I keep forgetting to say we are very proud of all her accomplishments this year! You go girl... That's about it... I cross my fingers everyday for this weather to start clearing up. I am headed to girls camp next week and I don't want to just have to hang out in the tent!

We had a great Memorial weekend... but I have been using a disposal camera so you can't see the pictures until the whole roll is done of course. Gotta love those things! I've been busy lately, once I get the pictures done I'll post about all the fun events but for now all I have are the pictures of Caden taken on Memorial day from my sister in law. Enjoy and check back soon for the awesome pictures that disposal camera is going to produce!

Just a quick update... life has been crazy this last couple of weeks. I swear I am so ready to be done with the sick bug that has been hanging around our house. It goes from one of us to the next and the worst has been Caden. He has double ear infections again and has not been a happy camper. I would take me being sick over him being sick any day. We are still hanging in there and enjoying this nice weather though... and despite it all we still love our sick peanut!

Don't mind his crazy mad scientist hairdo... that's how it looks when he wakes up from naps!

Thanks Amy for always being my photographer... If it weren't for you I would have no pictures of this little guy! You've got skills!

Easter!

I thought I would update my blog while Caden took his nap this morning... now he has been asleep for an hour and a half and I am just getting on to do this... So considering the fact that he could wake up anytime this might be a quickly! We were able to stay up at Megan's cabin for the weekend, so on Thursday night it was a girls night then the boys came up Friday after work! We always have a great time getting away...thanks to megs for letting us stay! Caden went on his first Easter hunt and was the last to find his basket of toys! I forgot to take pictures on Easter Sunday but we had a wonderful day with the Stallings!
He sure did love sucking on all tags of the new clothes in his basket, gotta love how they find the simplest things the most exciting! This kids hair is getting so long... I look back at pictures I have taken just a month ago and boy does it grow fast! I'm just glad for Johnson's no more tangles spray to help me style it. I thought he would be at least one before we got his first haircut... now we'll just have to see! He's a crazy little monkey...

6 months sure goes fast...

Well 6 months has come and gone... Its hard to think that just 6 months ago I was pregnant with my little man. This is a picture of this newborn pictures... so small he fit in the little tea cup perfectly... now he has upgraded to a old fashion tub! My sweet sister-in-law works at Kiddy Kandids so she took his pictures yesterday! She did such a good job and Caden was loving it! He is finally getting over a cold that he has had for weeks so it was so good to see him back to himself yesterday! Here are his stats for his 6 month apt. (Ht: 26 1/2 (70%) Wt: 14.5 (5%) He also had ear infections in both ears so I'm glad we finally get meds. to get over this once and for all! Like always, we love our little stud muffin!
